Sometimes.

I don't really have a theme for today's pictures, other than pinkish colours and a vague hint of love, I just think it was about time we updated.

Tonight I'm going to something called Pecha Kucha to see the launching of Dirty Duckling; an online gallery where you can buy limited edition artwork. I have a couple of pictures there, so it should be nice. Maybe have a glass of white wine. Only thing is I can't figure out what to wear. Perhaps I'll go shopping.

Blue dress and ballerina shoes.

I was supposed to take a portrait of Peter Dundas, chief designer in Pucci, today. But he missed his flight, so I'm stuck in the office. I put on a blue dress, with a black long cardigan from Filippa K and black ballerina shoes. Pretty cute in a way. You don't want to show up to take pictures of any kind of designer dressed like a slob, but looking through Pucci's Spring/Summer09 collection, I feel pretty underdressed. Though I'm not a huge fan of Matthew Williamson's patterns, I have to say that some of their cubistic styled dresses are amazing. And with Peter Dundas' unique line and cut use, I have to say that I've maybe become a Pucci fan. But I'd take a Marc Jacobs dress any day as well.

Yesterday the weather was so nice in Oslo that we gathered a gang and hit the park! Mr. Aurtun, Mr. Hunstad and Mr. Jensen among them. And other photographers / dentist. A shoot was of course necessary, as well as some polaroids.

The Light

Many Photographers in the fashion industry today is to "square" with theire lightning and only tries to set the same lightning as the experts. Please stop doing this, one of the most joygiving things is to see photographers that have developed theire own look & style so that people at once recognise pictures they have taken, and works in so many exciting ways with the light that you almost get a weak erection. This week I wanted to show you some photographers i really admire.

Monday blues.

Every monday I wake up later than usual and arrive work at 08:53. 53 minutes later than all the other days of the week. But I don't mind. It's nice sleeping off the weekends dancing and falling over. And I listen to music on my broken headset, City and Colour, and read my book of novelles, Ambulanse.

Last week, as said, I modelled for Mr. Heliasz. He took a polaroid of me and Even. I think it quite nicely describes us. Even is just this G in real life. And I'm this black and depressed, apparently ...

Two's a couple, three's a crowd.

Yesterday I did some modelling for Mr. Heliasz. It was ok, considering I had blue acryllics on my lips. Even will update with some behind the scenes and a polaroid later today.

Besides that Oslo's pretty rainy now-a-days. I want to hang out in parks, barbeque and drink beer like I did last May. And not walk around with the sniffles, running eyes and no voice. However, though it's cold, it is still nice walking around with a cup of tea in your hands watch people run for their lives trying to avoid the rain. And see crowds of people try to hide under some girls pink umbrella.

Sweet whispers of summer.

Today is the first day I'm not wearing a sweater under my jacket. Only a t-shirt. Feels good knowing that summer is so close. Though I can still smell the spring rain, and the grass hasn't reached it's full potetial, it's only a couple of weeks away. I can't wait for the salt water to make my hair curly and beautiful.

She's Got The Look

Seeing as Mr. Aurtun is new in town, it took Maiken and me about half a hour of walking around in weird neighborhoods before finding the correct location. But we made it. Though this was his first ever fashion series, he did good. We look forward to see the final results. In the meanwhile, enjoy this sneak preview, bitch.

Godt & Blandet

As written last week, Mr. Heliasz used Maiken's sister as a model on two shoots this weekend. One fashion shoot on some abandoned railroad tracks, and one at a hotel an hour west of Oslo. We got some polaroids of his shots. Her sister is 1.86cm tall and wears nerd frames, with no glass in.
The shoots went great. Maiken helped out with make-up on both of them, I assisted on saturday, at the hotel.
At the rail road Mr. Heliasz shot pictures of selfmade t-shirts.

Update on Skagen will follow.

Into the late hours.

Parties are nice, but barbeques are nicer, I think.

Yesterday, I went without my thrustworthy partner in crime, to a barbeque at Mr. Jensen's place. We talked about random stuff I don't remember anymore. Mr. Hunstad and Mr. Aurtun were also present, which was nice. And though some had other obligations than to entertain me, we were quite a nice gang hitting town.

When lights were suddenly too bright, we left. And I ran home trying to get a hold of whoever would pick up the phone, but no one would. I didn't run from anyone or anything, I just ran because it looks cute when girls in high heels run. Now I'm broken and so tired.

I have the most shitty scanner at work ever, messes up the colours (hue's some and saturate's some), but the pictures still make me laugh.

Cato (Mr. Aurtun) and Per Christian

Sigbjørn and Magnus (Mr. Jensen)

Cato showing off his sexy muscular arms and sugarlumps.

Me, wearing a bathingsuite from the Matthew Williams collection and H&M (which I think is overrated really, but that's another story). And showing off my, apparently, orange lipstick.

Shameless selfpromotion.

We haven't introduced ourselves, or shown you much of what we do. Besides, I can't find pictures rhyming with hiding. So I might need another day on that, or maybe forever. Anyway. I thought I'd might use todays blog entry to do some shameless selfpromotion. And do a little paragraph on us.

Even André Rygg and Maiken Woll Eide (as we are named) are the people (us) represented in this blog. In ways we're kinda like Joey Comeau and Emily Horne, only overly interested in fashion and photography. We attended the same school, where we both studied photography, and this is how we met. Maiken's first words to Even were: "Is your last name really Rygg?"(Rygg = Back in english) which I now, looking back, consider a pretty rude question. But semi-hilarious as well. Even is 21 and Maiken is 22, but we're born in the same amazing year of 1987, on the 23rd of J-months (June and January, getit?), which is pretty cool. I think that's pretty much it. Here are some of our photographs.

Even

He has other pictures than just the one series and the other, but he's still not home, so I had to settle with what I found on his facebook ...

In the morning, and amazing.

This friday our good friend Mr. Heliasz will have a photoshoot, so expect another tribute entry then. My little sister will model, so it should turn out quite nice, hopefully.

I got a hold of Telescreen - The Solar Sea yesterday. By far one of the best EPs I've ever heard. I recommend it highly. On another note, leading to todays pictures; Though Laura Palmer was probably not the first to be filmed in plastic, she's the one whom I always think of when anyone meantiones plastic on models. Or any other cover up for that matter. And so, from laying down, to leaving ground - today's pictures. Wrapped and hiding.
