Long night.

Both me and Even got our tattoos yesterday! I got home at 3AM, so I'm tired. But happy!

Monday links.

Every monday Even sends me a couple of photographers he's discovered over the week. This way my monday's aren't as boring as they used to be.Today he sent a link to a photographer named Mierswa Kluska. I quite like her style.

Sunday was a hard day. I was hung over and tired, but still managed to get out of my appartment and walk 2 km to St. Hanshaugen to hang out with a friend for a bit. I stayed for two hours and then left to go home eat, and watch animé movies I've seen a hundred times before. Porco Rosso was yesterday's movie. Later that night I also watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. In between I smoked sigarettes and tried not to notice two guys starring at me from an appartment across from me. And pretending not to hear what they said.

When I got back in Jimmy Duvall had sent me a text saying that he might (so he might not as well) be able to fit me in today for my tattoo! Even got the same text. So maybe he'll sit waiting while I get mine. I really hope he'll be able to do mine today. I have a birthday party later today as well. Stress, stress.

Today should turn out to be a pretty good monday.

Tattoo appointment!

For a while now I've been wanting to get a tattoo. A swallow diving with a ribbon in its mouth saying "Waiting". I sent a tattooing studio here in Norway an email yesterday (they're called "Invictus"), and I got a reply. So I'm gonna head up there today and show my stuff and hopefully book an appointment sometime next week or the week after that. I am so looking forward to it, I can hardly wait!

Yesterday the Burberry page on facebook released these pictures from the fall/winter shoot with Mario Testino.

Looks like a fun photoshoot. I've posted the final results earlier, so go back if you want to see.

Now I'm gonna go back to drinking coffee, eating my pear and looking forward to my new tattoo!

So wake up.

Another weekend passed. I hosted a huge party on friday, which I would call this summer's best party thus far. I had to throw out 40 people, remove the fireplace to clean underneath it, had 3 hours of sleep and danced loads.

Saturday and sunday I spent watching TV, went to the movies with Mr. Jensen and saw Harry Potter and the Halfblood Prince, and tried teaching myself how to play a song on my piano. I'm moving on the 1st of October, hopefully I'll bring my piano then. I haven't had it for 4 years now, and I miss it.

This is the song I'm trying to learn.

Happiness by the Kilowatt cover by City And Colour. It's so hard, but give me a year or two, and I'll have it.

I couldn't find the name of the photographer. The pictures were found all over the place.

Fashion illustrations

Back from Denmark with two pairs of amazing shoes. One pair studded, half ancle stillettoed, 12 cm heels and 3 cm platform in front. Love them so much. And one pair of pumps, white with beige cirkles all over, black lining going down to some cute laces in same leather, 8 cm high. I will definetly take pictures!

I kinda stopped drawing again, which I'm not really happy about. But I just don't feel good enough. I can't draw from imagination, only copying other pictures. I just love the way Kelly Smith works (above image). And also Kelly Thompson (below). Love her geekishly style.

I'm gonna eat waffles with my girls today, and have beer with Magnus later.

Off to Denmark.

Rome and Denmark.

Summer is probably our most busy time, it seems. Even went to Rome today. Probably on the plane now. He promised me a gift. So I'm looking forward to that! A lot. With Even's taste I'm guessing I'm gonna get something good. And if it is good, I'll take a picture and post it here.

I'm going to Denmark on thursday to hang out with my family and run around pretending to be American, seeing as I don't understand danish if my life depended on it.

Anyway. Even always wanted to marry Adriana Lima, but recently he found a new "to be" wife. Who other than Lily Allen? So, as a farewell gift, and have a great time, here's the August 2009 I-D cover by Alasdair McLellan.

I have to admit I love her too, though. Only, I can't really see why boys do ... With songs like "Fuck You" and "Not Fair", well, I don't know. She just sounds like a feminist from hell at times. But a pretty feminist, so I'm ok with it. As long as there's no bra burning, I don't mind.

High heel week.

This week I am only going to wear high heels. Preferably a new pair every day. Which should be no problem really, considering I have nearly 25 pairs of beautiful shoes now.

Another set of pictures from the untitled photoshoot I had nearly two weeks ago.

From art to photography.

When I was younger I studied art. My favourite subjects were drawing, art history and typing (study of fonts). Drawing because I was quite good at it, typing because I love making weird postcards with handwritten times new roman and art history because it is what defines everything built, drawn, sculptured and photographed today. I love it when I stumble across pictures with a clear referance to other artists from other ages.

Every monday, the most boring day of the week usually, Even brightens up my day with links to photographers, youtube clips and random stories from the weekend. Today he sent me a link to Marcus Ohlsson. He's signed to the same agency as Camilla Åkrans, which we've been showing pictures from for some time. Anyway. He had some pictures which so clearly shows what I just wrote of.

René Magritte is a surrealist born in Belgium. The painting above is one of his most known paintings, along with the raining englishmen with apples infront of their faces. But, though he painted in the same time and with the same views as other surrealists (Salvador Dalí), he developed a unique style. And so I put him a bit higher than the others.

Marcus Ohlsson has a serie which I think clearly shows a great inspiration from this painting.

Running away.

I ran away, and went on vacation, so it's been quite impossible for me to update with anything. But I have new polaroids and a new bruise on my leg, so things should be start working themselves out soon.
