Born and raised.

A lot of posts today, I'm sorry. Anyway. Alexisonfire will soon release their new video for the new single Born and Raised. My favourite song off the album, actually.
The picture is taken by Jess Baumung from the set. It's of Dallas Green resting on the floor. I thought it was funny, and by the looks of the colours it looks like it'll be a great music video.

I see horses.

Tonight, supporting Ungdomsskulen, I See Horses are playing at Internationalen (Youngstorvet). I really want to go. Just have to find someone who'll go with me.

This is a fire

Let's run all the red lights
And break our promises
We'll live like lovers
Who've never known heartache

Amazing new song by Dallas Green.

And though you've gone.

Finally! Moved into the new appartment. It's looking quite smashing I might add. And I absolutely adore living with Martine. Today it's cleaning/exercise day. When I get home I'm going to wash the kitchen as well as my room, and then we're going for a long walk.

Other than that work has just been really stressful. But I'm managing. I have booked quite a lot of photo jobs lately as well, so the weekends are starting to fill up as well. I also got assigned a drawing job, drawing a portrait of a baby. I'm quite looking forward to that. I usually never do that kind of stuff.
I'm also starting to save up for a quick vacation in Philly soon. I miss my friends over there like crazy. It feels like I'm stuck in this country again, though I've travelled a lot. Restless and torn.

Life in boxes.

I'm packing up and leaving Grünerløkka again, to live with a friend on Majorstua. Everything I own, and everything I like is in boxes. It's a bit sad, but also OK. I look forward to the new place. I just hate packing, so I'm procrastinatic, writing this instead and singing out loud to M83.

I know this blog is mainly about my random stories and fashion and polaroids. But I just wanted to share Jess Baumung with you all. I've been following his blog for nearly a year now. He is a documentary photographer focusing on bands, but does also some weddings and band photos and such.
The picture above is from Moneens filming of their music video Hold That Sound. He has the most amazing ability to capture the perfect moment, as well as making it look beautiful in the after work. He has also taken the best pictures of all my favourite bands.

I'm leaving for Trondheim tomorrow, and working and moving the rest of the week and also going to Sweden on friday next week. So I might not update in a week or so.

Another night out, another dancefloor.

Finally, friday! I'm going out with work today, to have a couple of beers and just hang out. My old teacher's will be there as well, it'll be nice hanging out besides at work. Other than that I don't really have anything to say.

Enjoy your weekend with another fantastic series from Tim Walker!

Pull the world over your eyes.

I'm listening to Animals by I See Horses on repeat. I think it's really nice.

A picture Cato Aurtun took of me the other day. I'm wearing my new dress (bought it from Topshop, and I'm quite pleased) and new shoes. The dress is a hundred percent Fair Trade cotton, so it feels super nice and I'm helping the world ... a little? Also wearing my Burberry trenchcoat on the picture.

In other news, I went to see Efterklang at Chateau Neuf yesterday. My hang out place of the week it seems. First I went to a friend of mine, Øyvind, and hung out with him, another friend named Sigurd and Sofie. We sat around listening to 60 Millions, the most hilarious thing I ever heard. Walked up to the concert and witnessed one of the best things ever. Probably the best concert in the last two years. If you have spotify, go listen!

The last song was the nicest, because everyone in the audience was called forward and we stood there and sang along with the band. It was, honestly, just dreamy and like falling in love.

Chessnut girls and music feet.

Yesterday I went up to Chateau Neuf to see The Slow Painters play. I know two of the guys in the band, and it's been nearly two years since they've played together. They were good I thought, only something was weird about the vocals (to low set microphone), so we couldn't really here the vocals.

Another band played as well. The bass player has one of the best vocals I've heard in Norway. It had this Dallas Green sort of softness, but with the rawness of Stuart Braithwaite (Mogwai). The band was called I See Horses. If you click the link you can hear three of their songs. Animals and Judas are my favourites so far.

It got late though, and me and Magnus and Cato stumbled home. They jumped in a taxi, but I got on the tram instead. It only took me about three stops though, and then I had to walk to the next stop. Unfortunatly it was closed down. I wasn't sure it was when I got there, but I asked a guy who was standing there. He was supposed to take the same tram as me. We ended up walking together home. He is a jazz musician, and that's all I know. I walked in high heels and picked up chessnuts whenever I found any. Was a nice end to a nice evening.

What a month!

September has by far been one of the best months of 2009. I've been traveling quite a lot, and I'm going to travel more. Moving into a new appartment with a good friend of mine in only a week! Work has been very stressful, but I've worked loads of overtime which means I now have two extra days off! I assisted on a photoshot, I went out a lot, I met my family, I danced. Sølve Sundsbø with Surface 2 Air, Nick Knight is signed on to Art + Commerce and Jimmy Choo's collection for H&M is out (at least parts). More about this now I think.

I logged onto Art + Commerce to check out the picture of the day yesterday, only to find out that Nick Knight has been signed to A+C. Great news, I think.

And also, Jimmy Choo's collection (or at least parts of it?) is finally out. I'm going to save all my money for this, and take a day off work to go shopping. The clothes, shoes and bags are simply beautiful. With studds, great mixture of fabrics and material, and his signature heals I think the whole collection will fly away faster than you can say "Matthew Williamson's collection for H&M was pretty cool as well". Here are some of my favourites.

You can find more pictures here.

Exciting news.

Last year the brand Surface 2 Air colaborated with Justice, the french Ed Banger artists. They made some jeans and some great leather jackets. S2A are doing the same thing this year, only this year they are colaborating with Sølve Sundsbø, the fashion photographer. You can see his collection (three dresses, three tops and three bags) on S2A's site. All of the clothes/bags have Sølve's images on them.

I personally just absolutely fell in love with this! It's not in stock yet, but I'm buying it as soon as it is.

Back from Bergen.

My trip to Bergen was nice, as always. Met up with all of my family and hung out with some friends as well. I even found time to do some shopping, and ended up with these fabulous new shoes!
I'm wearing them to a long, big grey sweater with a waist belt, black tights and a grey beanie. Besides the fact that I look really sleepy, I think I look nice.
I need a rooftop to take pictures on.

Over time, over worked.

And yet again I'm stuck at work till late tonight. I guess I'll manage though. Taking nearly all of tomorrow off to go to Bergen.

But it's alright. I'll drink some wine tonight and have a good night sleep. And wake up tomorrow smiling.
