Mew mew mew.

No more stories are told today. I'm sorry, they washed away.
No more stories, the world is grey. I'm tired. Let's wash away.

Mew are playing in Oslo on the 21st of November, and I just got a ticket!

Trick or treat?

I made my halloween costyme last night. And I'm going to be a shooting star. I basically made a star and glued a stripe with pearls, ribbons and glitter underneath it, on a white dress. I'm also wearing bright yellow tights, a golden sparkling hat and gold make-up. I will most likely post some pictures.
Besides that I spent most of my time yesterday making my room mate listen to post-rock and dance around the house. Hopefully I'll manage to convince her to listen to my music all the time. She did actually put on Mogwai when she was in the shower this morning, which impressed me.
I'm going to see the Slow Painters and GO Fandango today, with Mr. Jensen. I'm really looking forward to it.

500 days of summer.

A movie I just got sent the trailer to. It's coming to the norwegian cinemas this week, and I have to see it.

The films tagline is:
"Boy meets girl. Boy falls in love. Girl doesn't. This is not a love story. This is a story about love."

No shit, this is my life right now.

Scarlet fields.

I just found this dress by Camilla and Marc on net-a-porter, and I need it!

I am in love, without a doubt.

Musical weekend.

What a weekend! On saturday, after a quick visit to a party, me and a friend went down to John Dee and experienced Veronica Maggio. She was wonderful and such an amazing singer live as well.
She sang all of my favourite songs as well, the best one was Stopp though. I sang out so lound and danced.

And then yesterday I saw Muse! Slap me in the face, because it was such a great show. If I were to rate them I'd give them some minus points because they didn't include a couple of songs I think are necessary to make the perfect Muse show. Like Citizen Erased which they did not include. It's the perfect last encore song. I was sad they didn't play it. But they did play Feeling Good, so that made it a little better.
The show in itself though, with the lights and gigantic stage set was utterly amazing. Probably the best show I've ever seen.

And now, only ten days 'till White Lies!

Once we were.

At work, feeling really sick. But I'll live, I think? I'm listening to swedish post-rock. Once We Were, Scraps of Tape, Audrey, but I mix in some SGT and Greycoats as well. Also writing weird texts for something that will never happen. But at least my dream of Only On Instant Film will live on.

Come on, come here, move closer
Let's set the evenings tone
Caress my fleeting skin with your heat
Or I will choke on this microphone

Watchman, what is left of the night?

You can only take so much
Before you turn to stone
You can only fight so long
Before you turn to stone
Please say we're almost there
‘Cause I can't move another inch

Can't feel my legs
It takes everything to breathe
Before you turn to stone

(Sail on)
And you can hear the siren's song
But it's not where you belong
Red sky by night
Sailor's delight
Red sky by morning
Sailor take warning

Jimmy Backius

Just stumbled across a swedish photographer, based in Stockholm, named Jimmy Backius. I couldn't find a lot of info on him. But I really enjoyed his photos.

Other than that I spent yesterday hanging out with my sister, watching Gossip Girl and listening to Moving Mountains cover of Can't Afford the Colors by The Ivoryton Piano Factory.

100th entry.

We're falling, but at least it's not from ourselves.
We're dancing, like tomorrow isn't worth it.

We're flying and pretending it's real.
I'm smiling, because this is how it should always have been.

You're laughing, as if there is no oxygen left.
As if I'm leaving.

And I am.

Melt you down, make me better.

Back from this weekend's trip. It was fun. We danced and sang and drank way too much. Played and smoked and ran around pretending to be birds. I bought this bow as well.

Polaroid.

It's a happy day. This news arrived my inbox, presented by Polaroid itself at a press conference in Hong Kong on the 13th of october.

After all the difficulties and changes of ownership during the last years, the new management of Polaroid now understands the source of the brand's attraction - which is surprisingly not based in digital cameras but in Dr. Edwin Land's groundbreaking 1948 invention of Instant Photography, which he ingeniously devised and passionately developed with a lot of care and devotion.

We have understood this since 2005, when it was our honour and pleasure to celebrate and evoke the sensational and almost mysterious power of Instant Photography in memoriam of Dr. Land. Doing everything in our power to keep this beloved and unique photographic medium alive, we grabbed the chance to take over the last factory producing Instant films from the old Polaroid management and to start The Impossible Project in 2008. Re-inventing a new analog integral film, we are now preparing, supporting and managing the comeback of Instant Photography.

Accomplishing this mission and proudly owning the former Polaroid plant in Enschede (NL), as well as already holding the first working hand-coated samples in our trembling hands, we are pleased to herewith announce a history-making cooperation between The Impossible Project and Polaroid:
Polaroid will re-launch the legendary Polaroid One Step Camera and is therefore commissioning The Impossible Project to develop and produce a limited edition of Polaroid® branded Instant Films in the middle of 2010.

We feel proud and excited that our ambitions and all the relentless work we have already invested are now becoming the foundation for Polaroid's comeback as a producer of Instant Cameras.

Large-scale production and worldwide sale of The Impossible Project's new integral film materials under its own brand will already start in the beginning of 2010 - with a brand new and astonishing black and white Instant Film and the first colour films to follow in the course of the year.

We may be remembered by what we did when we sat down.

This is actually it. All that is left, all that will become. This is it. Now we are no one.

music and video: Youth Pictures of Florence Henderson

I took the stars from our eyes.

I went to Florence + the Machine this saturday. Was such an amazing concert. Couldn't be more happy about it, honestly.

The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart

Born and raised.

A lot of posts today, I'm sorry. Anyway. Alexisonfire will soon release their new video for the new single Born and Raised. My favourite song off the album, actually.
The picture is taken by Jess Baumung from the set. It's of Dallas Green resting on the floor. I thought it was funny, and by the looks of the colours it looks like it'll be a great music video.

I see horses.

Tonight, supporting Ungdomsskulen, I See Horses are playing at Internationalen (Youngstorvet). I really want to go. Just have to find someone who'll go with me.

This is a fire

Let's run all the red lights
And break our promises
We'll live like lovers
Who've never known heartache

Amazing new song by Dallas Green.

And though you've gone.

Finally! Moved into the new appartment. It's looking quite smashing I might add. And I absolutely adore living with Martine. Today it's cleaning/exercise day. When I get home I'm going to wash the kitchen as well as my room, and then we're going for a long walk.

Other than that work has just been really stressful. But I'm managing. I have booked quite a lot of photo jobs lately as well, so the weekends are starting to fill up as well. I also got assigned a drawing job, drawing a portrait of a baby. I'm quite looking forward to that. I usually never do that kind of stuff.
I'm also starting to save up for a quick vacation in Philly soon. I miss my friends over there like crazy. It feels like I'm stuck in this country again, though I've travelled a lot. Restless and torn.
